Accomplished chef Kenny Vandevelde is the director and creator of Norma’s Bistro, with his partner Heidi by his side, together they bring an establishment that brings family and friends together, promoting community and a fun atmosphere at your local.
Kenny is passionate about his three beautiful daughters, good food, 90’s hip hop and motorbikes.
He has run many successful restaurants from the Central Coast to Darwin and has settled in Lambton and has now called it his home for 15 years. His bistro encompasses great food, good vibes and an inclusive family friendly atmosphere.

Why this menu?
When creating the menu Kenny combined his love of Spanish tapas cuisine with traditional local pub favourites.
With a focus on families with kids, Norma’s offers all of your favourites from arancini balls to delicious desserts that are made fresh in-house.
Kenny has a great understanding of dietary requirements, for many years now he has adjusted his recipes to cater for coeliacs and vegetarians. His previous restaurant ‘Four Hands’ in Terrigal, was also very coeliac friendly. With many options on the menu being gluten free and vegetarian. Norma’s has all requirements covered.
Who is Norma?
Kenny was inspired to name the bistro ‘Norma’s’ after hearing about a member integral to the history of the Club. When the Club began in the 1940s, the male bowlers were short of members so they approached the head of the local female bowlers (Norma Clarke) to bring the ladies to join the men and thus, the Club began. Norma was moved to find out the bistro was named in her honour.
The era the club was established also influenced the design of the bistro interior. The fun 1940s American diner vibe is alive in Norma’s booth seating and decor.
